Looking for Santa Paws in DecemberThe holiday season is fast approaching and CCHS is in need of outgoing energetic men who love companion pets and children. The first three weekends in December (Saturdays and Sundays) we are looking for people to play Santa Paws. We will furnish the red suit, wig, belt and other accessories. You will be having your picture made with the companion pets and pet permitting the owners as well. So if you have a few spare hours and you enjoy working with pets and people this could be a great way to volunteer. Emergency and Weather Closing of Adoption EventsThe weather will soon be in the land of unpredictable and it may be necessary to cancel adoption events. We will try to notify you by Facebook as soon as the decision is made. Make sure that you check Facebook the morning of the event for changes. Food for PawsThanks to all of the many people who have been donating food, litter and other pet products to Food for Paws. This program helps citizens who are having financial difficulties and may have to make the hard decision to release their dog or cat to a shelter or rescue organization. We are currently very low on cat food. We accept all brands of cat food and litter. Bring your donations to the Chesterfield County Animal Shelter during regular business hours so that our feline friends can stay with their families. |
